Gabes serves as the Program Assistant at The Allender Center. She is an MA in Theology & Culture alum and working on her MA in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School, and she hopes to continue her academic and clinical work on cultural identity, racial and postcolonial trauma, and their integration with theological studies. She also does professional singing and speaking in different parts of the country, and is currently in the works of launching a podcast called The Bearing Witness Project, which exists to equip communities to recognize and understand the harm of religious and spiritual trauma and to take compassionate action to prevent and heal.
