Linda Royster, LCMHC
Strategic Alliances Manager
Linda Royster has been called to traumatized populations. She has crafted an extensive history of work experiences with children, adolescents, and adults in hospital, academic, and non-profit milieus, respectively. She earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology Graduate School and she is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in private practice in NC. Linda continued her journey with TSS as a Practicum Facilitator upon graduation in 2011. Also, she authored the addendum of the 25th-anniversary re-release of Healing the Wounded Heart by Dr. Dan Allender. Her addendum addresses issues that African-American women survivors of childhood abuse might face. Additionally, she is in the process of writing a book that addresses racial trauma and sexual abuse. Currently, Linda is the Strategic Alliances Manager at The Seattle School and a Lead Instructor at the Allender Center. Linda was part of a think tank that gave rise to the idea of the Allender Center’s formation, of which she joined as a facilitator in 2011. She is deeply committed to the recovery, healing, and well-being of her people specifically, but not exclusively.
Linda created the Recovery Week that focuses on Sexual Abuse and Racial Trauma and Healing, which is entering its third year. In addition, Linda also leads the Racial Trauma & Healing Gathering, creating spaces where communities across the country can engage in the deep work of healing and restoration.
