Workshop Details & Application Process
We are moved by the courage it requires to step into this sacred work. Our Recovery Week workshops are intentionally designed to provide a safe, intimate space for restoration. Thus, space is extremely limited. Our admissions process seeks to honor the vulnerability of such an application and to create a kind space for discerning if the nature and timing of this experience aligns with your needs.

The first step is to submit an application. This form is available online, takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and requires a $50 application fee to submit.
Within the application form you will be asked to provide one reference, ideally a counselor, pastor, small group leader, or mentor who knows your story and has journeyed with you. We will reach out to them directly with a recommendation form requesting their perspective on your application.
Once your application has been received our Admissions Counselor will reach out to you to schedule an interview. Our interviews are conducted online via Zoom by one of our facilitators. This is a space to get to know you and your story and discern timing and readiness for this workshop.
The total cost of this workshop is $3,550. The fee completely covers the costs of a six-day intensive workshop, lodging, and meals.
A $500 deposit is required to secure your seat at the time of enrollment. This non-refundable, non-transferable deposit to applied to your workshop fee.
When you enroll you will have the option to pay your workshop fee in full or opt to pay in two installments ($1,525/each) or four installments ($762.50/each). A 3% processing fee applies to online payments. Participation in the workshop will not be permitted until fees have been paid in full.
We believe in the importance of this work and do our best to make this offering accessible. If the cost of the workshop is a barrier, we encourage you to invite your community—family, friends, worship community—to considering sponsoring you. We are grateful to be able to offer a limited number of partial scholarships thanks to the generosity of our donor community. These scholarships range from $250-$1,000 and are reserved for participants from underrepresented race and ethnic groups and/or those who demonstrate financial hardship. You may submit your request for a scholarship within the online application.

Recovery Week is a six day workshop beginning at 5pm on Day 1 and concluding at 1:30pm on Day 6. The schedule on Day 2-5 is generally 8:00am to 5:30pm. There is a special closing meal in the evening on Day 5 from 6:00-8:30pm.
Lodging & Meals
Recovery Weeks include lodging for five nights and six days at a private retreat center. The exact location will be provided at the time of enrollment. Recovery Week participants must stay at the lodging provided by The Allender Center. All meals are included and accommodations will be made for dietary restrictions.
Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Recovery Week. We advise you to wait to make flight arrangements until you have received notification of your acceptance into the workshop. The Allender Center provides transportation from the airport to the retreat center.
Recovery Week involves intensive exploration of your own story and the stories of others, but it is not group therapy. Recovery Week provides an opportunity to engage in restorative work within your story of abuse, but they do not act as a substitute for consistent therapeutic engagement and support. Due to the intensity of the week, it is highly recommended that applicants are either in personal counseling or part of an abuse recovery group.
Due to the intimate nature of this workshop it is important to thoughtfully consider the time, financial, and emotional costs of participating prior to enrolling. With very limited seats available we take seriously our responsibility to honor the integrity of this workshop and the brave individuals who participate.

Your $50 application fee and $500 enrollment deposit are non-refundable and non-transferrable. The remaining workshop fee of $3,050 may be refundable, following this schedule:
- 120 days in advance of the workshop start date: 100%
- 90-120 days in advance of the workshop start date: 50%
- Less than 90 days in advance of the workshop start date: 0%
In the instance of a cancellation, if we are able to fill your seat, we will refund you any workshop fees paid. Standard admissions process applies and enrollment decisions are made at the discretion of The Allender Center admissions team.
If fees are not paid in full by the start of the workshop, you will not be able to participate. The Allender Center at The Seattle School reserves the right to pursue payment in full of the amounts owed using any lawful means it deems appropriate. This may include involving a third party agency. Administrative and/or collection fees permissible by law are the responsibility of the participant.
