Lea Schrumpf, M.Ed.
Facilitator
With a background in education, experience in social work, and nearly twenty-five years in pastoral ministry, Lea has long found herself in roles that offer care; but after reading To Be Told several years ago, she became particularly drawn to the notion of story, sensing a deep longing to read her own story well and to be able to help others do the same. She devoured every book by Dr. Allender and eagerly registered for a Story Workshop, immediately followed by Levels I-III of the Narrative-Focused Trauma Care Certificate Program. Recently, she had the joy of attending the Marriage Story Workshop with her husband Rob who has now begun his own training journey.
One of her greatest privileges is coming alongside courageous groups and individuals, helping make sense of the past, grieving the harm, and blessing what has been cursed. She seeks to invite tender curiosity, offer fierce kindness, and inspire imaginative
participation, believing all are beloved and have unique and important callings in God’s grand story of redemption.
She is honored to be a part of The Allender Center facilitation team and has recently organized a private story coaching practice called Flourish Soul Care to offer individual story work.
