Gwen St. John, LMHC

Instructor & Facilitator

Gwen St. John is a therapist practicing in Seattle since 2009, and has been part of the Allender Center team since 2016. Her main presence the last several years has been with the team leading Narrative Focused Trauma Care® (NFTC) Level III , where she loves supporting the development and artistry of others who want to lead story work with integrity and embodied care. She has always called the Pacific Northwest home and loves any time she can spend on islands and ferries, always hoping to spot an orca.

Gwen believes we all need company and support on our journeys, and that counseling and story work can be transformative and redemptive experiences of being seen and known. Her work is inspired and fed by the many times she has seen people come through story work and counseling engagements and emerge with brighter faces, more robust dreams, and a more kind and curious voice within. She is a former foster parent and an adoptive mother, and loves to work with those whose lives include these experiences.
