Ashley Kirkman, LMHC
Facilitator
Ashley began her career as a special education teacher and has a soft spot for working with teenagers. Through this work she was led to pursue a new path, and in 2017 she graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology. Shortly after she opened her private practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL and continues to live and work there with her family.
Ashley is no stranger to disruption; growing up in a military family there was constant movement. Ashley finds her true calling at the intersections of trauma care, grief, and an imagination for more. She believes that healing and grief is best done in the presence of others, and finds group work to be incredibly rich. Ashley is fiercely hopeful and is able to wander in the wilderness with others because of her desire for redemption in our stories.
In her free time, she can be found sipping a cup of fresh coffee, spending time with friends and family, or trying new restaurants around town. Ashley would prefer to be outdoors in the mountains, but has adjusted to hot sunny South Florida over the years.
