Andrew Kohr

Facilitator

Andrew Kohr is certified in Narrative Focused Trauma Care through the Allender Center at the Seattle School of Theology. He is the founder of Dreaming Tree Initiative, which focuses on story work in both individual and group contexts, offering a safe and supportive space for people to explore unresolved trauma and brokenness in their stories.

Before establishing Dreaming Tree, Andrew spent more than 20 years as a landscape architect and urban planner, where he led multidisciplinary teams and served as Principal and part-owner of Pond, a global architecture and engineering firm. His years of leadership and collaboration with clients and colleagues deepened his awareness of how personal narratives shape not only individual lives but also the communities we build together.

Andrew’s work is also profoundly shaped by his own story of engaging the trauma of childhood abuse. This integration of personal healing and professional experience equips him to guide others with both empathy and clarity. He is committed to helping individuals enter their stories with honesty, courage, and hope, trusting in the possibility of healing and transformation.

Andrew lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their Weimaraner, Hensley, in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia.
