Lea Schrumpf, M.Ed.

Instructor and Facilitator

Lea Schrumpf is a trauma-informed practitioner who brings more than 25 years in college and pastoral ministry, along with a background in education and social work, to her roles at The Allender Center. She comes alongside people carrying stories that may be subtle, confusing, or hidden, as well as those living with the impact of more overt trauma. She is also passionate about helping couples understand how their stories have shaped their relational dance and move toward one another with greater compassion, curiosity, and connection.

Lea knows what it is to carry the heartache and shame of untold stories and, through her own ongoing journey with Story Work, has come to know greater freedom and connection with God and others. She believes every person bears the image of God and is worthy of honor, delight, and belonging. It is this conviction—and a deep hope for flourishing—that shapes the way she comes alongside others.

Lea lives in Indiana and sees clients virtually and in person through Flourish Soul Care. She has been married to Rob, a pastor, for 35 years, and together they have three adult children, including one through adoption. Lea loves real conversations, long walks, chasing sunsets and mountain vistas, laughing with family and friends, and sipping sweet tea.
