We offer two different scholarship amounts for this Story Workshop: $100 and $200. Scholarships are reserved for participants who demonstrate financial hardship and/or those who are from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups.
If you are not BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), please use the following guidelines:
To determine which scholarship amount is right for you, please refer to this Green Bottle Sliding Scale graphic designed by Alexis J. Cunningfolk.
If you fall into the “full bottle” category on the scale, we ask that you not request a scholarship for this program. If you fall into the “half-full bottle” category on the scale, please request the $100 scholarship amount. If you fall into the “quarter-full bottle” category on this scale, please request the $200 scholarship amount.
If the above categories match your needs, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the scholarship amount needed and we will send you a separate registration link with a discounted amount.
We are able to offer these scholarships due to the generosity of our donor community. If you have been impacted by the work of The Allender Center, we would be honored to receive your gift. Visit our Giving page to learn more.
Story Workshop involves intensive exploration of your own story and the stories of others, but it is not group therapy. Story Workshop provides an opportunity to engage in restorative work within your story, but does not act as a substitute for consistent therapeutic engagement and support.
Before starting the program, you will be asked if you have any dual relationships with members of our facilitator team and/or fellow participants. This information assists us with group placement.
Our 2024 facilitator team may include: Christine Schuele, Joshua Burdette, Rhonda Reynolds, Tina Farist, Rebekah Vickery, Jill Dyer, and/or Michael Chen.
