Laura Westbrook, MA, LPC

Facilitator

Laura spent the first part of her career in the field of corporate Human Resources. She also enjoyed
serving as a lay counselor and prayer minister in her church over the years. These early experiences
fueled her desire to return to school. In 2014, Laura graduated from Grace College and Seminary in
Winona Lake, IN with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her post graduate training has
primarily focused on providing trauma-informed care. As a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), she
is passionate about incorporating body awareness as an integral part of the healing process. Laura’s
experience in the NFTC Certificate programs has been her most treasured source of learning and
healing, and she considers it an immense honor to now be serving as a Facilitator.
Laura resides with her husband of 29 years in North Texas. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in
private practice dedicated to providing hope and healing to men and women working through trauma
and sexual abuse. More information about her practice can be found here. When not working, she
enjoys being outdoors – playing with her puppies, spending time with her two kids and family at the lake,
or hiking/camping with close friends.
