Melanie Lindell, LMHC

Training & Pastoral Care Team

Melanie Lindell graduated from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2013. Melanie began her training in hospital emergency rooms throughout the Puget Sound, providing first responder care for survivors of adult sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and child abuse. She continued her work cross-culturally in Thailand, providing counseling for Christian workers stationed throughout the world. Melanie has been involved with The Allender Center since 2013 facilitating Story Workshops, Story Groups, Training Certificates, and Recovery Weeks. Melanie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and maintains a private practice in Seattle, as well as contracting with an organization in Kirkland providing counseling for missionaries and pastors.

Melanie believes that our lives are oriented through the context of relationship. She also believes we all need benevolent witnesses to our lives in order to learn how to hold both the beautiful and the shattered elements of our stories. Melanie considers it an honor to journey with her clients and bear witness to their lives in ways that help her clients hold, examine, and experience the transformative hope that is birthed when stuck places are loosened, and they begin to believe that change is possible.
