Jenny McGrath, LMHC

Fellow

Jenny began her pursuit of mental health in 2009 when she moved to Northern Uganda in a desire to learn concepts and practices of counseling and rehabilitation with former child soldiers. Jenny worked in ministry in Africa for three years before moving to Seattle to attend The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. Jenny graduated from The Seattle School in 2015 and has continued to travel and work in Northern Uganda. She works to explore and create methods of using movement and dance to heal complex trauma in developing nations. Jenny has a private practice in Eastlake, Seattle, where she specializes in working with adolescents and adults moving through experiences of complex trauma.

As a dancer, Jenny is passionate about incorporating body and movement through somatic engagement of story and relationship into the healing journey. Jenny is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. Whether with her clients or in yoga classes, Jenny is passionate about enabling the people she works with to allow their bodies and movement to tell the stories that haven’t found words yet.
