Externship Program

Accepting applications for 2012-2013 class. The application deadline is January 15, 2012. Apply today!
This program creates a place for graduates of The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology to study under Dr. Allender and his teaching staff as well as practice the Allender methodology. This will occur with a combination of teaching time, supervision and hands-on training. Participants must already possess a master’s degree from The Seattle School.
- Sexuality– Design and Glory: Creation and Incarnation
- Trauma and Spiritual Warfare: Fall and Crucifixion
- Reading and Reimagining (Speaking, writing) Therapeutic Narratives
- Redemption and Resurrection
- Restoring and Reconciling Power: Kingdom and Ascension
- Commit to a year time frame of training beginning in August and ending in July of the next year.
- Externship is an unpaid experience geared toward giving you professional experience.
- Act as “lead” facilitators for workshops (specific workshops pay a stipend for facilitation)
- Receive supervision for current clients
- Act as Apprentices for Recovery Week programs
- Meet monthly with one another and Dan Allender for times of training and discernment
Application Process and Requirements
To apply for the Externship Program, you must meet the following requirements:
- All applicants must be graduates of The Seattle School, holding either an MACP, MDiv or MACS.
- All applicants must have at least 1 year of post graduate experience and worked in some aspect within their given professional fields
- Applicants must offer a letter of recommendation from one of the following:
- Faculty member of The Seattle School
- Practicum Leader or Facilitator or Therapist
- Applicants must have serve as a facilitator at one of the workshops held by The Seattle School. (This can occur as you apply for an extern position.) Please contact Jeanette White for more information.
